Week eight - post one

Michigan State takes down Louisville for a trip to the Final Four
No. 2 seed Michigan State defeated No. 1 seed Louisville 64-52 Sunday in Indianapolis winning the Midwest Regional and securing their spot in the Final Four. This is the fifth Spartan appearance in the Final Four in 11 years, the most of any other team in the nation in that time span.

Spartans head coach Tom Izzo said he's looking forward to playing in Detroit, a place only 90 miles from the Michigan State campus in East Lansing.

"It's as big a win as our school has had because we're going to Detroit," Izzo said. "And that's been a dream and a goal since they announced where the Final Four was in 2009."

Michigan State takes on No. 1 seed Connecticut at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday.
