Michigan State eliminates Kansas; moves on to Elite Eight
No. 2 seed Michigan State defeated Kansas 67-62 Friday night in Indianapolis in the Midwest Regional semifinals. With the win, the Spartans knocked out the defending champions and will move on to the Elite Eight.
The Spartans overcame a 13-point deficit in the first half which led them to victory.
"You know, we gave them a run. We just didn't finish the game," said Kansas head coach Bill Self.
Michigan State will take on Louisville Sunday for a trip to the Final Four.
