No. 13 Clemson upset by unranked Virginia Tech
Unranked Virginia Tech handed a loss to No. 13 Clemson 80-77 Wednesday night in Clemson, S.C.
The Hokies' Malcolm Delaney helped the team with his 26 points (17 in the second half). The win ended a three-game loosing streak.
Virginia Tech avenged an earlier loss to Clemson, in which they could not hold on to a nine-point halftime lead. The Hokies hope a few more wins will secure their spot in the NCAA tournament.
"If we win a couple of more games, I don't see how they can keep us out," Delaney said.
The Tigers were ahead for most of the first half. The breakdown of their defense as the game progressed will have to be addressed before their next game against FSU.
