South Florida claims last-second victory over No. 8 Marquette
South Florida's Dominique Jones' last-second layup led the Bulls to a 57-56 victory over the Marquette Golden Eagles Friday night.
With the loss, Marquette saw an end to their 12-game winning streak, and left the Big East without an unbeaten team. Marquette now sit behind No. 1 Connecticut in the conference.
South Florida celebrated their first season win over a top-10 ranked team and the end of their 3-game losing streak.
With 15.9 seconds left, Jones hit his layup leaving Marquette mere seconds to answer. Marquette's last two shots rolled off the rim, and they became the highest ranked team to lose to USF since 1992.
