Duke falls to No. 10 Clemson
The Clemson Tigers beat the Duke Blue Devils 74-47 Wednesday night at the Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C. Forward Trevor Booker led the Tigers with 21 points, and guard Terrence Oglesby scored five 3-pointers.
The victory marks the first win for the No. 10 Tigers at home against No. 4 Duke since 1997.
A disappointing loss for the Blue Devils, they haven't experienced defeat like this since the 1990 NCAA title game loss to UNLV 103-73. The Blue Devils posted the fewest points of this season during the game.
Fans celebrated the Tiger's biggest blowout of Duke since 1975 by rushing the court.
The Tigers now have a 19-2 record and the Blue Devils are 19-3. Both teams continue to compete for a spot in the NCAA tournament.
"They shouldn't forget this loss," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "This is as bad as you can play."
